About
My passion for theatre and lighting came from a young age, growing up in south London, He’s always had a love for theatre, starting as a performer and learning about character building via mask making workshops helped develop the skills of performance.
The love for technical and lighting came later with the backstage workshop programme with the Young Vic where Learning all the backstage roles, lighting, Sound & Video really took a shine.
Trained & graduated at London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) on the Stage Management & Technical Theatre course in 2014 gave a new outlook on what lighting design entails and how Collaboration & Communication are so vital for development of projects.
I take a lot of design inspirations from nature, photos, art, film & TV but also my passion and love for video games have had a keen input in world building.
I enjoy the exploration of Dramaturgy with lighting in its support and development of the story and the character, enhancing the experience for the audience, working closely with the creative and production teams to help deliver beautiful stories to the stage. I am always up for new collaborations as new ideas come in many forms but more importantly how others can spark interesting thoughts and ideas within which might not have been thought of previously.
I love to experiment with lighting, trying out new equipment and ideas to help support a naturalistic or abstract vision, colour has and will always fascinate me how useful it is to help build the worlds but also tell the story or characters Like in Poltergeist Theatre Co & Brixton House Alice in Wonderland 2022 & 2024 Versions.
I am also care about the development and supporting the new generation of theatre makers working with Backstage Niche and running lighting design Workshops.
