CHERNOBYL
Movement Coach

Chernobyl, a five-part miniseries co-production from HBO and Sky, dramatizes the story of the 1986 nuclear accident, one of the worst man-made catastrophes in history — and of the sacrifices made to save Europe from unimaginable disaster.

Chernobyl is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) and directed by Johan Renck (Breaking Bad). Produced by Sister Pictures and The Mighty Mint as an HBO/Sky co-production, Emmy-winner Carolyn Strauss (Game of Thrones) and Jane Featherstone (Broadchurch) serve as executive producers while Johan Renck and Chris Fry (Humans) co-executive produce. Sanne Wohlenberg (Black Mirror) also produces.

In the months leading up to shooting I worked with each actor individually to explore Soviet physicality and the effects of trauma and acute radiation syndrome.

Survivor: Muse. Creator. Destroyer.

The Nico Project is inspired by her stark, bleak and beautiful 1968 album The Marble Index. Ignored on its original release, the album is now rightly regarded as one of the defining masterpieces of 1960s counterculture. Directed by Sarah Frankcom and co-created by Maxine Peake, with text by award-winning playwright EV Crowe and music by acclaimed composer Anna Clyne. The Nico Project brought us closer to the ghosts that haunted Nico and the devastating past that shaped her and celebrates the potency of female creativity in a field dominated by men.

With rigorous physical training and exploration the orchestra and I developed a unique physical language where they were ghosts, prophets, mirrors, and enablers to Maxine Peake’s Nico.
